In this role, you will be accountable for:
The Category Manager - South is responsible for driving category management principles through the application of strong data analytics and consumer/shopper insights. Provide compelling presentations and other information in support of sales and category growth. This person participates in meetings as an “expert” in the field of category management.
Key responsibilities are:
· Perform category and channel analysis for the South Division in an extremely fast paced environment.
· Filter through multiple data sources to assist in building strategies that drive results
· Develop business plans and strategies for achieving category volume, margin contribution, market share and space targets.
· Lead QPS preparation through data and insights using internal research, POS and syndicated data for customer performance reviews.
· Participate in presentationsas credible expert in category management practice and a Dairy Aisle expert.
· Work efficiently to respond to urgent requests for information and presentation support to drive growth in an extremely dynamic environment.
· Stay abreast of global consumer trends in a widely diverse set of retail channels.
· Educate and provide consumer and business insights/tools to Walmart .
· Perform competitive analysis by category, brand and package to identify trends, opportunities and challenges to core business areas.
· Analyze and evaluate demographic profiles and consumer purchasing behavior in individual account/categories and groups of accounts/ categories.
· Assist in all requests by senior staff for information and presentation support to drive sales or proper shelf allocation in an extremely dynamic environment.
· Assist in providing complex metrics and analytics to provide insight to consumer dynamics, supporting a very aggressive growth plan
· Strong working knowledge and execution of shelving standards and associated software tools, syndicated data, consumer panel data.
