EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting or related field from four-year college or university required. One to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Also must have ability to convert units of measure and rates within a production environment.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Extensive spreadsheet, database, and experience with a fully integrated business system required. SAP experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of manufacturing processes strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work in a team environment.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Description
Collects, analyzes, and prepares cost accounting and production information in the primary support of FSD, FIG and SCS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates cost estimating process of new and proposed products or services. Evaluates inputs from R&D and Operations for consistency and reasonableness. Reports any significant cost drivers or process limitations to Sales Division Leadership.
Maintains an understanding of the manufacturing processes for all lines at all plants by periodically observing the lines during production runs.
Interacts routinely with the Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing staff.
Provides cost / margin analytical support related to FSD, FIG, and SCS as needed.
Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
Analyzes product profitability and determines reasons for variances to expected results.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
