Director New Product Sourcing

JOB DESCRIPTION
Partial Job Description 1) Manage new product supply chain and source for company’s new categories 2) Support company’s new product lines 3) Oversee sourcing selection, support new product development and prototyping 4) Manage production start-up, steady state production and the end of life production transition 5) Manage overall relationship with key suppliers supporting company’s new product lines 6) Ensure continuity of supply, on-time delivery, quality, pricing, payment terms and supply contracts 7) Work with the R&D team to ensure customer requirements, usage conditions are anticipated and clearly understood 8) Ensure that conditions are adequately simulated with reliability testing and on-going quality is monitored through factory testing 9) Collaborate, share and balance work loads with counterparts to ensure all of company’s product line have full operational support 10) Assist VP of Operations in planning and developing quarterly/annual budgets
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications / Skills Required 1) Technical degree (4 year) or equivalent 2) Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in operations 3) Experience in international sourcing/manufacturing, particularly Asia 4) Manufacturing engineering/plant management experience 5) Extensive people management experience, including hiring and firing 6) Overseas contract management experience 7) Experience in international and domestic sourcing, procurement/pricing negotiations, interfacing with executive level management 8) New product introduction experience 9) Experience in regulatory/customs, quality management system implementation 10) Strong technical background with a wide range of hands-on manufacturing experience (experience in consumer or hi-tech manufacturing is a plus) 11) Substantial experience with ISO 9000 or other quality management systems 12) Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines 13) Demonstrated ability to make and successfully implement executive level decisions 14) Familiarity with international regulatory requirements (FDA, U/L, FCC and their international equivalents) that company new product lines must comply with 15) Understanding of the principles behind how Oracle works with regard to procurement and inventory management 16) High level of understanding of international custom’s requirements 17) Proven leadership and business acumen 18) Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions 19) Creative, flexible and innovative team player 20) Commitment to excellence and accountability 21) Excellent problem resolution and collaboration skills 22) Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to work with people from diverse cultures at all levels 23) Strong analytical skills backed up with strong written, Excel and PowerPoint skills
