Job Description
General Summary:
The Demand Planner contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by executing the demand planning process for some of PBC's Market Units. This person develops accurate and stable forecasts for all products sold by these Market Units.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Generates weekly product demand forecast
- Performs weekly root cause analysis and utilizes demand planning exception reports to identify and fix potential issues
- Responsible for improving forecast accuracy, forecastpercent good and reducing "Out of Stocks"
- Gathers and inputspromotional information from Market Unit and Business Unit Sales teams into the demand planning system
- Inputs historical retail price and exceptions into the Prevail system
- Adjusts forecasts as necessary to include local market intelligence
- Prepares the weekly demand planning call agendas and sends out weekly demand planning forecast reports for review
- Lead the demand planning calls
- Assists the Demand Manager in other tasks related to improving the overall demand forecast
- Performs master data maintenance to maintain accurate product and customer information
- Performs Prevail data maintenance to improve forecast accuracy
Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Engineering, Sciences, Economics, Statistics or Business preferred
- 2plus years experience in Demand Forecasting, Supply Chain Management,or Operations
- Experience in day-to-day business process
- High proficiency with MS Office products particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
