Job Description
¨ Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or Environmental science
¨ Certification in CSP, CIH, HAZMAT, OSHA and/or ISO 14001 Internal Auditor desired
¨ 2-5 years experience in Safety, Health and Environmental Management with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
¨ Responsible for the safety, health and environmental programs and targets
¨ Make sure that the factory has all necessary safety management systems and required environmental systems in place by working with the factory management team and safety representatives both internally and externally.
¨ Responsible for planning, controlling and directing the activities of the department and for development of the annual budget and insures that financial targets are met
¨ Clear demonstration of leadership, team commitment and influencing others
¨ Clear demonstration of business results
¨ Behavior Based Safety
¨ TPM, Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement are desired.

¨ Root Cause Analysis
¨ Works with corporate and site management to establish and achieve the site(s) safety

¨ Establishes annual training plan and ensures that site employees and contingent labor and contractors safety training is scheduled and completed.
¨ Establishes site audit systems for all processes to support maintenance
¨ Provides leadership, insight and direction to insure that site(s) reach annual targets and supports the mission of zero accidents/incidents for the business.
¨ Insures that the site is in full compliance with all local, state and Federal regulations required by OSHA and the EPA.
¨ Responsible for annual budget planning and compliance with annual financial targets.
¨ Meets targets with focus on zero accidents and environmental incidents at the sites.
¨ Responsible for development and maintenance of a robust behavior based safety process’ Provides support to the site TPM process through management and support of the key TPM Pillars to progress the ways of working.
¨ Responsible for providing leadership and direction in meeting the site environmental objectives to reduce waste as required by local, state and Federal mandates.
¨ Monitors and reports on progress through root cause analysis, metrics and continuous improvement tools
