Job Description
¨ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
¨ 10+ years experience with-in a High-speed automated CPG setting.
¨ Experience in PLC programming, and ladder logic trouble shooting.
¨ Member of management process improvement team, and will be responsible for line efficiencies, IT Technicians, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), maintaining Automated manufacturing equipment, Plant electrical infrastructure, Electrical specifications, Electrical drawings, and other focus improvement needs.
¨ Be able to show strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and provide clear direction in a food manufacturing environment.
¨ Follows all safety procedures as stated in GMP, safety standards, plant rules/policies, and code of ethics.
¨ Analyzes, identifies, recommends, and implements solutions for reducing production downtime, and non-value added activities.
¨ Identifies and implements productivity enhancement opportunities.
¨ Develops, conducts, and coordinates training plans for plant IT Technicians and electro mechanical mechanics in the electrical discipline.
¨ Subject matter expert on controls, instrumentation, hardware, CAD, and electrical code.
¨ Works with Process Improvement Teams to resolve controls issues.
¨ Works with IT Technicians and Electromechanical mechanics by utilizing Continuous Improvement tools.
¨ Leads and facilitates Root Cause analysis sessions.
¨ Assists in the development of the capitol plan for cost reduction-related projects to support business objectives.
¨ Facilitates the review of plant wide cost savings initiatives and improved Line Efficiencies.
¨ Coaches and directs IT Technicians and Electromechanical maintenance team within assigned area of responsibilities.
¨ Follows all safety rules, plant rules/policies, GMP’s, and code of ethics.
¨ Read and comprehend instructions, schedules, ingredients, recipes, safety procedures, emergency procedures, chemicals labels, graphs, charts, reports, and computer monitors.
¨ Effectively communicate specific information using verbal and simple hand signals to team members, employees, customers, supervisors, and state/federal officials in a noisy environment.
¨ Conduct meetings with team members, supervisors, and state/federal officials.
¨ Read, and interpret data from charts, graphs, and instruments, and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to identify any digressions.
¨ Qualifications include proficiency with computer-aided design software, previous automation design experience and the ability to proficiently program using programmable logic controllers.
¨ Comprehensive knowledge in Allen-Bradley (control logix, SLC500, PLC5) and Siemens PLC family.
¨ Proficient with HMI, AC/DC VFD drives, and motion control programming.
¨ AutoCAD and Wonderware experience is preferred.
