Job Description
¨ Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field
¨ 4–7 years’ experience with-in a Food & Beverage setting
¨ 2–5 years’ supervisory experience
¨ Abide by all plant Safety, Health & Environmental policies and actively participate in safety activities
¨ Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviors and actively support company safety goals
¨ Support all TPM initiatives and actively participate in all TPM processes and activities
¨ Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including review of hot work, confined space and pipeline breaking permits
¨ Routinely communicate with employees to ensure compliance with established safety, quality and productivity policies and procedures
¨ Work to achieve “Zero” accidents by taking a leadership role in safety
¨ Investigate and identify root causes of accidents, quality holds, environmental non-compliance, or breakdowns utilizing the TPM RCA process in order to prevent recurrence of similar incidents
¨ Oversee maintenance of facility, production lines, refrigeration system, warehouse, freezer and infrastructure equipment (boilers, air compressors, hot & cold water systems, CIP systems, wastewater, etc.) to include daily scheduling, planning and review of work and PMs for mechanics to allow seven day/week 24-hour coverage of the systems and facility
¨ Support both capital and in-plant project work
¨ Provide technical support to mechanics and operators as required
¨ Maintain computerized maintenance management system including the spare parts, PM and work order programs
¨ Maintain comprehensive records for plant utility systems
¨ Update and maintain utility-related drawings to ensure accuracy
¨ Develop and update SOPs and policies as necessary
¨ Assist with compliance of regulatory programs (storm water, hazardous waste, air quality, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
¨ Maintain water treatment system for boilers and condensers
¨ Maintain plant system safety systems, e.g., fire sprinkler system, security systems, paging systems, etc.
¨ Manage any non-capital projects that require outside contractors or vendors
¨ Lead assigned teams related to safety, sustainability, or TPM
¨ Develop and conduct technical, safety, and other training for departmental and plant personnel
¨ Act as an emergency response Incident Commander or Hazardous Materials Technician following associated training
¨ Electrical, ammonia refrigeration, steam, compressed air, and wastewater systems
¨ Experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs, OSHA regulations, and other safety policies and procedures.
