The right candidate for this position must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Food Technologist role. A Food Science Degree or certifications/degrees associated with Culinary Arts or Food Development
• Strong knowledge of consumer marketplace including food trends
• Must have excellent professional food technology skills, ability to work under tight deadlines and be able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (Spanish is a plus)
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

This position report to the New Product Development Manager and is in charge of collaborating with the Corporate Chef on the “gold standards” and producing the bench top/lab samples of new products for approval.
- This position co-leads the technical transition of product development from bench top to commercial production and assists in the development of processing techniques so that new products adapt to manufacturing feasibility.
- 35% of your time will go to leading food development and analysis activities, coordinating test and lab evaluations, conducting grading, developing cost workups and proposing effective recommendations for cost reductions.
- 25% of your time will go to developing innovative solutions for commercialization of bench top samples.
- 15% of your time will go to characterizing formulations and recipes.
- 15% of your time will go to evaluating product objectives and recommending new ingredients and processes for overall refinement and enhancement.
- 10% of your time will go to providing insight into ingredient recommendations to enhance bench top formulations.
