Job Description
Description:
This position is responsible for managing the factory's building, grounds and equipment. This position manages both internal and external resources to support activities on the site. This position is involved in plant continuous improvement teams and manages the site security, safety, and environmental programs. It requires adherence to planning and scheduling best practices, providing technical solutions for plant issues and managing the storeroom to achieve department objectives.
Continuous improvement/Lean Manufacturing is a key aspect of this role.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience in the Food/Beverage Manufacturing industry
- Bachelors degree, preferably one in Engineering, basic sciences or business related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment in a Maintenance capacity
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Control, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, compressed air system and components, boilers, and Preventative Maintenance Programs and Systems
- Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Minimum 7 years in a Production Environment
- Project Management
- Experience with Reading Electrical Blue Prints
- Experience with planning and managing a site's maintenance budget.
- Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements and related guidelines and Lock Out Tag Out Procedures
