Position Description
The Maintenance supervisor is responsible for running a shift/crew safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. The supervisor will distribute daily work assignments, PM’s and oversee their progress, while working closely with other departments and maintaining good communication.
Position Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work closely with Operations to effectively maintain all plant processing, packaging and support equipment in proper running order
•Maintain and execute the plant Preventative Maintenance program.
•Organize, distribute and audit all work orders to maximize plant efficiency and minimize production down time.
•Oversee and assist where required, maintenance of MaintSmart database for plant.
•Broad base knowledge of electric motors, belt, chain and gear drives, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
•Coordinate annual inspections of all plant equipment.
•Provide leadership and participate in corporate and third party audits.
•High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
•Vocational or associate degrees preferred.
•Three years maintenance supervisory level experience required. Food manufacturing related maintenance experience is desired but not required
•PLC knowledge/experience a plus.
Position Requirements:
Highly motivated self starting individual with strong hands on and technical support, mechanically and electrically. This supervisor must be able to work effectively with other key areas of the facility as well as coach and develop others to help build a stronger team. Must have good leadership and communication skills. Willing to work weekends, some holidays and overtime. Must be willing to work all shifts as needed.
