Essential Functions
- Supervise the maintenance management system -- plant parts, equipment, and tools stores, associated personnel and their procedures
- To organize and maintain Maintenance Department MLS preventative maintenance software program as well as parts and equipment stores and ordering
- To directly assist the Engineering Manager with developing, organizing and controlling the Maintenance Department labor and cost structure
- To seek opportunities for continuous improvement of the Maintenance Department and its systems.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities and responsibilities of the crib clerks
- Thorough and in-depth working knowledge of the West Liberty Foods MLS system
- Train Crib Clerks on MLS software as well as Maintenance Department parts, equipment and tool policies and procedures
- Update all MLS data from work orders, parts inventory, etc. in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Timely ordering of all maintenance department equipment, parts and supplies
- Work with vendors and WLF AP and Purchasing department to correct order discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate filing system of vendors, equipment and parts
- Assist in maintaining Maintenance Technician training resource library and current training status of all Maintenance Technicians
- Other duties deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager
