Job Description
¨ Bachelor’s degree Food Science, Engineering or related technical field
¨ 8+ years of experience with-in a Food Manufacturing setting
¨ Lead the efforts of a production team. (Production planning, organizing, training, coaching, compliance with various customer, company, government requirements and guidelines, and continuous improvement of product cost, quality, and service.
¨ Ability to manage small and medium sized groups
¨ Lead the efforts in measuring and leading efforts to meet converting goals including cost, quality, service, safety and raw material waste.
¨ Lead efforts of implementing culture, training and coaching in all areas of Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement.
¨ Lead department efforts in meeting or exceeding goals in Productivity, Raw Material Usage, Safety, Customer Complaints, Service and Profit.
¨ Through the use of problem solving methods and other quality tools identify and make process improvements.
¨ Train, coach, evaluate and reinforce manufacturing principles with employees.
¨ Identify and communicate customer requirements.
¨ Orders are scheduled in a timely manner taking into consideration production efficiencies.
¨ Administer various company, plant or department processes in certification programs, pay systems, assessment/feedback processes.
¨ Identify potential Capital improvements going through the analysis justification and approval process.
¨ Manage or assist in the management of capital projects.
¨ Review and make appropriate changes to the standard cost system.
¨ Track and maintain control of variable and fixed budgets.
