Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Effectively manage all employees on a daily basis to ensure that production requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner. Provide direct supervision to subordinates, including involvement in hiring / firing decisions, providing training and development opportunities, and conducting performance reviews and coaching sessions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

? Manage and direct all employees in the production and manufacturing of our products.
? Ensure safety, sanitation, and GMP policies are enforced.
? Schedule employees to provide necessary staffing throughout the workweek.
? Responsible for setting, blending and processing schedules on a daily basis.
? Work closely with regulatory agencies.
? Maintain lines of communication between employees and management
? Coordinate related activities with maintenance, purchasing, and Quality Assurance to ensure the operation runs efficiently and in compliance with company, state and federal standards and regulations.
? Ensure company policy, work rules, and bargaining agreement provisions are followed.
? Assist in training, evaluation and when necessary, the application of progressive discipline of employees.
? Actively support the company’s Affirmative Action program.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of experience and education.
Must have a minimum of five years hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably with UHT or Aseptic dairy products.
Must have thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities as they pertain to HTST, UHT, Aseptic processing and filling, and general facility standards.
Must be able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization from corporate senior management to production line worker.
Must have strong leadership skills and must be team oriented.
Must have the ability to mentor and develop productive staff.
