Job Description
A National Consumer Products Manufacturer has an immediate opening in the Wilkes Barre/Scranton area for a Production Supervisor. This is a new position for a plant that is being constructed with an attached warehouse.
Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in production supervision/plant management in a fast paced manufacturing environment. (consumer products, food or similar).
Applicants must have a demonstrated background in plant management and operations and experience with full P&L activities. Plant equipment installation and PM experience preferred.
Knowledge and implementation of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, BRC/SQF or other food safety experience, production planning as well as excellent communication, presentation and training skills.
A Bachelor is required, with either an Engineering or Operations degree preferred but not mandatory.
Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a plant or single manufacturing facility to high performance, in alignment with the requirements of the business.
Plan, organizes and leads the factory team to achieve agreed upon results.
Ensure adherence to all company principles and policies as well as local laws and regulations. Ensures compliance to health, food safety and regulatory requirements of all products manufactured.
Develops and implements plans to assure achievement of appropriate volume of production for each product produced.
Ensures product quality meets established standards and that costs are within budget limits
Guide the activities of the plant to meet budgets, with an effort to find appropriate cost savings
Ensures that shipping schedules for finished goods meet customer requirements
Drive Continuous improvement culture and high level of employee engagement at all levels in the factory.
