Job Description
Accountabilities:
Compliance to Package Design (Supplies & Finished Goods)
-Ensure new package set-up accuracy
-Standardize electronic data in E1 shop order notes and internal information to the Spec Database
-Develop package conformance verification process for Bottling
Technical Resource
-Reduced Finished Product Losses
-Implementation of first-time right for new/ revised packages
-Ensure conformance to FSM standards
-Develop and/or provide package export documentation
Test Coordinator
-Experiments targeting package quality assurance
-System improvements
-Cost saving initiatives for packaging materials
Conformance to Specifications for Labels and Case markings
-Approval of implementation to TTB requirements for label and cases
-Reduced System Non-conformances, Rework and Package Losses
Internal Auditing
Auditor for the Spec Management, HACCP and ISO systems
-Improved Tech Audit Scores
-Compliance to Internal Plant Audit Schedule
Scope:
Relationships:
• NTM - Formulas, new product, ingredient and/or packaging specifications, application and trials.
• Operations; Engineering & Maintenance - Nonconformance issues related to ingredient and/or packaging materials. Working with plant Leaders to determine impact of material deficiencies. Held Product disposition. Technical resource for trouble shooting process & equipment
• Supply Management / Purchasing - Materials specifications, supplier nonconformance tracking & reporting.
• Suppliers - Resolve, reduce or follow up on corrective actions from purchased materials. Provide feedback on supplier performance.
Requirements:
Education:
Packaging Engineer degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience/Background:
The physical sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.) or applied mathematics
Technical Functional Skills:
• Food Safety (HACCP)
• ISO 9000 Quality Systems
• Quality Auditor Training
• Distilled Beverage Processing and Bottling
• Good Laboratory Practice
• Statistical Process Control
Competencies:
