Position Purpose:This position provides monitoring and guidance for food regulatory, food safety and quality assurance initiatives while reinforcing the Sandridge Core Values. The Quality Assurance Supervisor helps facilitate schedules of the staff and provides leadership traits to technicians. The Quality Assurance Supervisor works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager to support the Company’s standards for product quality and integrity.Summary of Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this position are to assist the Quality Department with the daily Quality and Food Safety Team initiatives while assuring compliance to Title 9 (USDA/FSIS) and Title 21 (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations.This person shall exemplify the Sandridge Core Values at all times (Integrity/Ethics, Always Improving, Caring Employee Environment, Excellence in Reputation and Responsive Customer Service).
Job Description
Key Specific Responsibilities:
- Completes annual SOP updates and works with staff and management to complete SQF requirements relating to Quality Assurance.
- Provides direction to staff with leadership of department
- Provide training and education to technicians as we move to culture change of “Quality to floor”.
- Provide constructive feedback to technicians both positive and negative. Plan monthly or semi monthly feedback relating to performance.
- Provide guidance and leadership for specific USDA/FSIS & FDA Regulations applicable to the production of Ready-to-Eat Fresh Salads and Entrées (HACCP, SSOP, Net Weights, & Pre-requisite Programs)
- Organize and develop KPI (Key Process Indicators) system that establishes positive culture change.
- Implement quality assurance techniques and programs that assure finished product 100% First Time Quality (i.e. raw material and finished product organoleptic testing, process control audits and laboratory analytical testing – titratable acidity, pH and moisture evaluations)
- Periodic interaction with production managers to complete weekly quality and GMP audits.
- Review for accuracy and completeness daily documents generated during the production processes and procedures.
- Provide food safety and quality assurance guidance and support for all external multi-functional departments.
- Fosters continuous improvement efforts
