EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university that has been accredited by the Department of Education and five to seven years comprehensive safety program management experience in a manufacturing environment; preferable food processing.
VERBAL/WRITTEN SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches, reports and/or articles using original or innovative techniques or styles. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS SKILLS

Position is responsible for the safety programs at the Enterprise, Distribution Center and Park facilities.

Promote a safe working environment through the continued development, implementation and monitoring of safety programs for all employees. This employee will support all safety programs, policies and procedures, and have a personal value system that will assist in creating a work environment that is based on trust, human dignity, and honesty which in turn will contribute to a high quality of life for all employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive safety programs for Enterprise, Distribution and Knox locations to be in compliance with OSHA.
- Analyze safety trends and develop strategies and plans for improvement.
- Evaluate a changing working environment for hazards and identify means to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Continue to improve, implement and maintain safety and health and policies and procedures to comply with federal, state and local regulations.
- Generate legally required reports.
- Conduct in-depth accident investigations and reports.
- Coordinate management and hourly safety committee meetings.
- Complete monthly safety priorities, safety compliance calendar activities, and any other assigned projects in a timely manner.
