- •2-4 years experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment and working familiarity with Food Safety Standards. •HACCP, BRC experience preferred •1-2 years experience with food safety auditing •1-2 years experience with scientific method, report writing and the basic tools of quality •1-2 years experience in operation of manual & automated analytical equipment •Working proficiency with relevant sensory skills imperative with 1-2 years experience preferred •Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills •Demonstrated ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work in a team environment essential. •Working proficiency with Microsoft PC-based computing skills (word processing-Word, spreadsheet-Excel, database – Access database •Exemplary Character and Integrity
Job Description
1. Finished Product Quality: Complete the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of EOC finished products against established standards. Document data, evaluate results and provide appropriate feedback to operating employees – including corrective action and product disposition on quality related decisions.
2. Material Quality & Operating Environment: Evaluate raw and packaging materials for adherence to standards and end use requirements. Audit operating environment for compliance to Food Safety standards. Document data, evaluate results and provide appropriate feedback to operating employees – including corrective action and disposition for noncompliant materials and conditions.
3. Data Analysis & Organization: Complete ongoing and situational analysis of quality related data that enables effective & timely communication & action of findings, trends, issues, opportunities and achievements. Document, organize and store quality data in a way that facilitates timely & efficient analysis & reporting. Initiate and coordinate improvements quality data management systems.
4. Quality Reporting: Develop and publish recurring and on-time quality reports that communicate quality results, findings, trends, issues, opportunities and achievements in both graphical and narrative formats in an effective and timely fashion.
5. Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities: Provide direct support for the acquiring and effective application of coffee expertise and quality related tools, skills and knowledge by EOC operating employees that improve overall operating effectiveness. Assess level of quality related knowledge and skills demonstrated by operating employees.
6. Improvement Initiatives: Direct responsibility to plan, coordinate and manage a variety of quality related projects within the quality function and across the factory floor. Support the identification & pursuit of a continuous stream of improvement initiatives on an individual, team member & team leader basis that improve operational and business performance.
7. Individual Development: Identify & pursue specific initiatives that improve the skills, knowledge and capabilities that improve individual performance effectiveness in current and future roles.
