Do the Right Thing Play as a Team Be Excellent Think Differently Build for the Future     PRIMARY FUNCTION:   The primary function of the TBD is to help the company  attain and drive its BHAGs by driving sales through analytics. This is done by being a great communicator, developing, reporting and analyzing market and account performance data to help inform strategic sales and marketing decision making, support customer development, and assist in developing the Asian Door category. Will primarily utilize syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen), custom data from individual sales outlets (Meijer, Sam’s Club, …) and Consumer Feedback data from our internal system to create custom reports for dissemination throughout the organization.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  Market and Competitive Analysis & Reporting (Think Differently) (60%) Analyzes data and helps the rest of us understand it. Will analyze and report Category, Brand and SKU level data for recurring monthly reports as well as meet daily ad-hoc needs.  Will develop/support marketing and sales presentations with data on an as needed basis and highlight important insights that can be used to elevate Kahiki as a category expert in the minds of our customers.   Will be responsible for measuring and reporting trade efficiency data by customer and develop insights that will help inform trade spending decisions.  Will evaluate the ROI of targeted sales and marketing efforts through the use of syndicated and customer data. Will assist with developing sales presentations as the expert in category data and trends.  Will assist with annual planning based on knowledge of the category, customers and trends.  Will closely monitor competitive activity in the marketplace and identify opportunities and threats to our business.   Consumer Feedback Analysis and Reporting (Build for the Future) (20%) Analyzes data from our internal consumer feedback system and production data to create reports illustrating trends by channel and subline.  This will include rate trends as well as identifying key problem areas that should be addressed by the organization.  Will sometimes require analysis down to the SKU level to identify and evaluate specific issues.  It may also require recommending changes to the way the data is collected to ensure accurate reporting.  Will distribute monthly report highlighting performance and trends and lead monthly meeting to review data and outstanding issues. Sales Channel Research and Analysis (Be Excellent) (20%) Will analyze various data sources to provide senior management with a clear insights/opportunities by channel, sub segment and brand. Will develop multi-channel customer insights that help the organization prioritize channels and accounts and optimize our strategy within each.
