Description
1) Oversee the purchase/delivery of raw materials, equipment/machinery and supplies
2) Review/fulfill material requests
3) Handle all activities related to vendor negotiations and management, contracting, raw materials as well as assigned products
4) Oversee the purchasing of organic foods, sauces and miscellaneous materials
5) Ensure that accurate and timely forecasts are provided through contracting with growers or vendors
6) Obtain market information and pricing for new product development
7) Initiate annual reporting of cost standards by item
8) Identify, track and be in-charge of reducing and minimizing unallocated inventory
9) Analyze market/delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability as well as prepare market analysis reports
10) Review purchase order claims and contracts’ conformance to the company policy
11) Monitor, evaluate and track materials costs against PPV standard costs
12) Arrange for disposal of surplus materials
13) Liaise closely with field operations to ensure pre-season contracts are negotiated within the company’s financial targets and pricing requirements
14) Supervise buyers, purchasing agents and expediters
15) Direct any subordinates and manage remote transportation and warehousing functions
16) Ensure products meet local standards and approvals
17) Maintain quality standards and understand the supply chain function

Critical Requirements:
1) Degree (4 year) preferred
2) Minimum 8 years of experience with superb expertise in working with suppliers
3) Excellent negotiation skills
