Description
1) Provide the day-to-day operational leadership for plant personnel
2) Ensure adherence to company policies, practices and procedures
3) Develop a work environment within Manufacturing and promote trust, teamwork, quality and safety
4) Assign accountability as well as build teams, hire, develop, evaluate and train
5) Support the Plant Manager during contract negotiations, etc.
6) Communicate items of interest or concern to employees and Plant Manager (as needed)
7) Develop, monitor and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans (short- and long-term)
8) Assist the Plant Manager in making operational improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity
9) Utilize new technology along with Lean Manufacturing principles and processes available to maximize efficiency
10) Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with company, federal and state guidelines
11) Oversee plant activities including ordering, processing, packaging, sanitation and shipping of all plant products and services
12) Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.)

Critical Requirements:
1) BS/BA with 6 – 8 years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment including 3 years as a Production Supervisor
2) Knowledge of operations/manufacturing/engineering/QA with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, AIB and HACCP
3) Individual with fluency in Spanish (preferred) and working knowledge of financial/cost accounting and budgeting
