Description
1) Assist in developing and implementing standards, policies and procedures related to food preparation, sanitation and pest control in retail food establishment 2) Serve as a technical expert to resolve food establishment closures/crisis related to Health Department inspections 3) Develop and assist in implementing cleaning and sanitation programs in a food service and retail food establishment 4) Evaluate and provide guidance on proper designing and construction of food establishments as well as equipment 5) Develop and assist in the administration of retail food safety, facility sanitation, weights, measures and pricing accuracy policies, compliance audits as well as SOPs (across all the divisions) 6) Collect data in a scientific manner, utilizing appropriate statistical methodologies 7) Perform accurate measurements and calculations as well as interpret results 8) Develop executive summary reports with recommendations for continuous improvement 9) Advise company management on regulatory compliance pertaining to food safety, facility sanitation, weights as well as measures including pricing accuracy 10) Identify consumer protection opportunities within retail operations 11) Prioritize issues and lead resolution activities to drive sustainable change 12) Create as well as disseminate project summary reports and key findings to the Senior Management Team 13) Identify and resolve opportunities identified by the various business units 14) Review audit reports generated by third party service provider 15) Identify, review and resolve any auditing issues 16) Participate and present information to standardize (peer review) third party auditors 17) Provide innovative and strategic ideas to support company growth 18) Serve as a resource to division management and provide support in leave of absence of Division CP Manager 19) Perform other tasks as assigned

Critical Requirements:
1) Degree (4 year) in Food Science/Food Technology (registered Sanitarian/CFSP certification preferred) 2) Minimum 5 years of food safety and consumer protection experience (food service, food/retail industry) with expertise in cleaning and sanitation procedures, food service/manufacturing and awareness of potential risk management strategies 3) Knowledge of risk assessment (chemical, physical, biological) and emerging food-borne pathogens, vectors and pests along with pest control methods (educational, biological, physical and legal) as well as facility construction/design including proper designing of or regulations for equipment use and willingness to travel (up to 50%)
