Description
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Directly supervises up to 20 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages,. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have certification on how to operate forklifts and highlifts. _________________________________________________________________________________________ PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Critical Requirements:
Maintain and monitor employee performance with our IMPAC measurement process. Maintain safe environment for all who frequent the warehouse Responsible for the proper rotation of all finished goods (I.E., FIFO) Ensure a clean environment for those who frequent the warehouse Responsible for the training of all new employees from basic forklift operation to be crossed trained in all warehouse functions. Example: Loading, Picking, replenishing, receiving Coach and Retrain employees to meet Ken’s Foods production output. Make sure department functions as a team to constantly improve both cost efficiencies and warehouse GMP’s.
