Description
Position Overview Provide technical leadership to support packaging capital and continuous improvement initiatives for business growth and large packaging efficiency activities. Position supports all North America and global packaging platforms.Accountabilities • Primary engineer on capital project installations from conceptual development through execution. Responsibilities include scope definition, budget development, schedule management, and system performance identification. • Provide project management leadership on packaging projects with business teams and key stakeholders. • Partner with matrix engineering disciplines to provide appropriate controls, processes, and utility interfaces utilizing minimum cost effective design (MCED) practices. • Utilize key skills and insights as consultant to other functions and divisions for innovation, continuous improvement, safety enhancements, and productivity initiatives. • Corporate expert to lead preferred packaging equipment standards and innovate with vendors to deliver value driven solutions to enable business teams. • Additional duties as assigned.

Critical Requirements:
Required Skills/Experiences • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from ABET-accredited program required. Preferred degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. • 2 years required experience, 5 preferred • Experience in plant operations and industrial environments required; food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, packaging equipment vendor background preferred. • High-speed packaging, motion control, and material handling experience. • Demonstrated understanding of equipment design and impacts to materials, labor, and work processes. • Capital project experience $1 million+ . • Demonstrated performance and skills in executing concurrent assignments. • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and processes. • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Strong technical leadership skills in a collaborative fashion. • Capable analytical problem solver by utilizing data and keen judgment. • Adaptability to maneuver through various project stages and uncertainty with high degree of professionalism and candor. • Self motivator and able to energize working teams. • Able to travel as required. Estimated 50% travel overall. Travel may be extensive at times during peak project phases. Flexible tools for distance communications are available and encouraged.
