Description
The Plant Manager has a wide area of responsibility including directing all activities related to the production of goods in food manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Include:
Guide plant functions daily by ordering in truckloads of in-shell pecans
Scheduling production
Interface with corporate headquarters on upcoming domestic and foreign shipments
Manage all production staff
Oversee quality control on incoming raw material and outgoing finished goods
Ensure that sanitation, maintenance and production activities are consistent with GMP's/SQF/AIB/FDA/USDA/OSHA
Interface with upper management and human resources
Travel required to vendors, warehouse, corporate headquarters and seminars on occasion.

Critical Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Operation Management, Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline.
Must have knowledge of GMP's/SQF/AIB/FDA/USDA/OSHA
Must have 10 years experience in food industry
Must have 10 years experience in production management
Must have mechanical and preferably some electrical experience and knowledge
Must be able to perform maintenance tasks when necessary
Excellent oral, written, and computer skills
Must be able to multitask
Must be willing to work any production schedule
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
