JOB DESCRIPTION

BASIC FUNCTION:  Responsible for the overall Maintenance Work Cycle for the plant by leveraging ConAgra Performance System (CPS) methodology. Provides direction for the daily activities of four or more Maintenance Technicians, assigning Preventive Maintenance and routine Work Orders.  Works directly with Production Line Leader(s) to optimize the maintenance work flow in order to drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Prioritizes and schedules all planned maintenance.  Maintains spare parts inventory, conducts cycle counts and purchases MRO supplies.  All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards and regulations addressing occupational safety (OSHA), building and electrical codes, environmental safety (EPA), and food safety/quality (FDA) in accordance with Safe Quality Foods (SQF), the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Drives optimization of Preventative Maintenance (PM) process in order to achieve plantsâ?? PM Frequency and PM work instruction detail; Convert work requests into work orders; Manage F-Tag Process; Lead review of scheduled work planned for upcoming downtimes with teams; Track and share in-process metric results; Daily Management System owner for Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination; Schedules and prioritizes all planned maintenance work; Drives Preventative Maintenance systems & their integration with Autonomous Manufacturing Development (AMD); Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF and FSMA as well as the regulations of governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA.  Must complete training in these standards and comply with all requirements.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Position works in a manufacturing environment. Job incumbent must be able to work in areas that are hot or cold, surfaces may be slippery, climb ladders/stairs, or work in tight quarters.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:  Associates Degree in a technical related field or seven (7) years documented experience in a relevant field; computer proficiency in: SAP (or similar), Excel, Word, Autocad; Working knowledge of the maintenance planning/processing functions in SAP or other CMMS system; Ability to effectively manage results with minimal guidance; Ability to prioritize and plan multiple tasks simultaneously; Ability to lead and influence peers; Ability to analyze losses, track results, and develop action plans to address gaps; Ability to lead and/or participate as a member on cross-functional teams; Ability to manage and prioritize oneâ??s own time aligned with business needs; Ability to perform formal root cause analysis to identify and resolve downtime/inefficient operational issues; Excellent communication skills; Ability to think ahead and plan over an extended time period and prepare action plans to achieve results; Must be available to respond to emergency situations as they arise; Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed.
