JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is currently seeking a driven and ambitious Operations Consultant to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional who has a go-getter attitude.

1) Maintain personal working relationship with Owner/Operators and key operations managers while remaining committed to the brand and corporate objectives
2) Provide guidance to franchise personnel in all facets of the restaurant functions including revenue generation, cost controls, marketing, purchasing, and human resources development through best practices and various trends being utilized throughout the FDA system
3) Support all quality systems of the company including Market Force, reviews of operations, Net Promoter, Enclosure and training programs
4) Assist in the opening of Owner/Operator's restaurants from plan review through grand opening, from an advisory and team implementation perspective
5) Recognize and share the best practice procedures and ideas throughout the company's system
6) Maintain regular communication and meetings with Senior Franchise Operations Supervisor on job related activities and developments
7) Maintain the portfolio of franchise restaurants under jurisdiction to ensure continued success in terms of Standards of Company Performance, Financial success and continued royalty growth
8) Build trust and credibility with Supervisor, Peers, Owners and Operators & Participates in round table discussions and workshops
9) Provide a clear understanding and vision of company's standards and priorities to Owners/Operators and obtain results through influence
10) Take immediate and appropriate action to guide Owners/Operators in correcting substandard performance or conditions in troubled areas
11) Maintain pro-actively by making timely and sound decisions and anticipate the impact of those decisions on the company
12) Inform the Senior Franchise Operations Supervisor and peers of important issues and offers potential solutions
13) Develop, coach and mentor Owners and operators & assist in developing action plans
14) Work through influence to ensure any recommendations made by the R&D Department and resulting action plans are incorporated into restaurant operations and followed up on
15) Provide input to the Training Department program development and to training programs offered by other departments such as Human Resources or Finance
16) Roll out new policies and procedures to management & ensure that they are properly implemented
17) Follow-up on the effectiveness of training or developmental programs through restaurant visits
18) Follow-up on all guest complaints and help to resolve when necessary
19) Interact with guests to answer their questions, resolve concerns and guarantee a quality dining experience when necessary
20) Interview Director of Operations candidates if requested by Franchisee
21) Review staffing requirements and succession planning with Owners/Operators
22) Support the Training Department in the restaurant certification process, as well as ensuring certified managers are running the restaurant
23) Assist in maintaining a current management roster for each franchise location
24) Participate in Area Director/Franchise Operations meetings, FAB meetings and Franchise Partner conference
25) Review Franchise partner P&Ls
26) Work with Senior Franchise Operations Supervisor to develop action plans to address cost control areas
27) Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
28) Complete and Review the Standards of Company performance inspection with Owners and Operators, using them as a measurement of operations ability to execute against company standards and as a development tool

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the food industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to people have recent experience in operations consultancy
